How To Be Yourself And Why It Is Matters?

To be yourself mean to be the real you. It matters to be yourself because you are responsible for yourself. It would be best if you did not lie to yourself or others.

It would help if you didn’t pretend you are smarter than you are—the reason I dare say this is because there is always someone better than another.

Be The Best Version Of You
Be the Best Version Of You

In today’s world, if you are not yourself, the world may change you, especially with the power of social media.

The study has shown that an estimated 45% of the world population is using social media. Each person uses an average of 2 hours and 25 minutes.

The duration of uses can be as long as up to 1 hour and 30 minutes per person on average.

The bottom line is if you are using social media to promote your online or offline business, then it is worth using social media as long as you wanted to. If you are using to entertain yourself, this may not benefit you in some way.

“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”

Oscar Wilde

Why Do You Need To Be Yourself?

It is about your personality, attitude towards seeing things, and reacting to situations, self-awareness, getting to know yourself better, and learning how to appreciate yourself and love yourself.

Once you know yourself better and always alert, you will know what to say and when to stop saying or doing. For example, you will also know when to take a break from social media.

Be Yourself Toward Positive Side Rather Than Negative Side

To be yourself mean that you are not into any drama in your real life, you accept things much more straightforward.

You treat others with your sincerity. You hate lies, you dislike spamming peoples, and you also don’t like others spamming you too. You will start to respect yourself and others around you too.

Being yourself is another kind of way to have better control over your feeling, thinking, mindset, and self-acknowledgment.

How Can You Be Yourself In Every Situation?

  1. Think before you act—the way how you express yourself. You only react when you think it is right.
  2. Try not to hold on your past, live in the present instead.
  3. Tell the truth and be honest with yourself.
  4. Learn to stay calmer.
  5. Be patient
  6. Avoid comparing yourself with others. No one is better than anyone. You may be number 1 today. It doesn’t mean you will be number 1 forever.
  7. Increase your communication skill and other knowledge about self-improvement by learned from reading books.
The True Story Of A Millionaire
The True Story Of A Millionaire

I have a story to share with you. Sometimes to be a better self, you need to experience or become another person first.

A good friend of mine, he is a millionaire and a jewelry business owner. When he just started his business over 30 years ago, he first owns a single jewelry shop in the middle of the town where he lives. He employed only a few staff to make the sales and look after the customers.

Surprisingly, even though he is the owner and at the level of a boss, he did many things in his shop, he served the welcome drink to potential customers who were entering his shop and cleaned the floor, window, and the glass table. He works as regular staff. He treats his customers like a king.

Today, he owns over 30 luxury jewelry shops all over the world. And he is about to retire and planning to hand over his entire business to 20 years old son.

Before he is handing over his business to his son officially, one of the most fantastic things that he did was sending his son to work at one of his retail outlets, and he instructed his son to work as an office boy, service staff, cleaning work. None of the teams who work in the outlet are aware that their future boss is working with time at the same level as them.

Do you maybe wonder why he does this? Yes, he wants his son to learn from the bottom, learn to understand his employees and their works before he announced his son as the new CEO of the company.

I genuinely amazed by his story. That makes me think that sometimes we need to put ourselves in other people’s shoes. By doing this, we can become a better person, a true leader that gains respect from others.

In some instances, be yourself also mean standing firm on your ground.

Especially when you think you are correct and you have a valid reason. On the other hand, you also need to be able to accept criticism and bad comments about yourself.

Avoid underestimated your ability, stop being negative about yourself, belief, and forgive yourself.

Another right way to find your true self is to do something that you love and find your hobby or try to help others who in need. By the time, you may find true happiness and love yourself more. Not only will you be so proud of yourself, but also others and those around you will be proud of you too.

What’s more?

  1. Think of others more than yourself.
  2. Laugh every day.
  3. Spend less money than you make.
  4. Be an encourage NOT a critic.
  5. Pray when you feel like worrying.
  6. Give thanks when you feel like complaining.
  7. Keep going when you feel like quitting.

Take good care of yourself, eat well, and sleep well, have fun even though you are alone. Be yourself can be awesome.
